NCI’s network of companies offers metal construction products and services through three vertical business segments: metal coil coating, metal building components and custom metal building systems. It is through the integration of these complementary and uniquely beneficial divisions that NCI receives its greatest advantage in the industry.
Below is a simplified illustration of the model:

1. Steel coils are delivered to one of our five coil coating facilities.
   
   
2. There, the coil is coated. The gauge of the steel and paint is determined by current demand.
   
   
3. Taking advantage of NCI’s transport services, the coil is then transferred to one of NCI’s metal component or metal building manufacturing facilities.
   
   
4. Roof and wall panels are rollformed at one of NCI’s metal component or metal building plants along with secondary structural and accessories like trim and flashing.
   
   Our metal building facilities and our Mexico location primarily fabricate heavy-gauge structural framing used in metal building construction as support for the secondary-structural members. They also distribute a large portion of the applied loads to the foundation.
