Sales

- Sales Service Manager
The main function of the SSM is to provide "Sales Service" to and manage sales efforts in a given territory in conjunction with a District Sales Manager. The SSM is the central in-house contact person with builders, customers and DM's. Job involves pricing and quoting of projects-screening, processing and tracking of quotes and jobs-project management of jobs through completion. This involves coordinating with any other company departments to gather any information needed to facilitate order processing through the system.
- Inside Sales Manager
The primary responsibility of an ISM is the development and maintenance of Sales Service standards of performance. He/she must plan and schedule the work; allocating resources, planning team member’s work and following up on deadlines. In addition he/she must provide mentoring and training to the team while the department works as a whole to coordinate effectively with other departments in the effort to develop and maintain customer relationships.
- District Manager
Position entails servicing and training existing builder accounts along with recruiting and developing new business relationships in the territory. It will require the ability to define, estimate and value engineer a project while forging long lasting relationships. Honesty, integrity and endurance are a must and he/she will be considered the trusted advisor to your builders and customers.
- Regional Manager
A Regional Manager is responsible for managing his/her region and the DM’s that work within that region. This includes assembling and achieving annual sales and spending budgets, along with authoring monthly and quarterly reports, advising and supporting the DM’s in their efforts, including filling in as a “floating” DM when needed. The RM must manage, inspire, motivate, control and mentor the entire sales force in order to promote the success of the region and the company.

Estimating
- Estimator
An Estimator is responsible for developing optimal metal building estimates for community, commercial, and industrial building projects. He or she must interface with our builders and end customers and review plans and specifications in order to determine the project requirements. The estimator must work with our purchasing group and our vendors to get accurate pricing for special buyout items. Finally, the estimator must clearly communicate exactly what we are quoting (and what we are excluding) to our customers.

Drafting (levels 1-5)

- Detailer
The metal building detailer’s primary functions are development of the erection drawings, shop details and bills of materials. He/she receives a design layout designating required member sizes, locations and orientations from the engineer. Utilizing this design and the purchase order specifications, the detailer generates the erection drawings which pictorially illustrate the installation of the materials sent to erect the structure. The shop drawings are also created by the detailer providing fabrication of the necessary information to create the individual part of an assembly and how to assemble the parts into a finished member. Finally, the detailer is responsible to provide a complete listing each part and piece required to assemble the metal building structure referred to as the “bill of material”.
- Squad Leader
The squad leader’s duties include schedule management, personnel management, production maintenance and quality assurance for the personnel under their direction. The squad leader is normally the most senior of the draftspersons in a group with extensive knowledge of product in addition to knowledge of company procedure. In a typical setting a squad leader would spend approximately 50% of their time on management task with the other 50% dedicated to production task such as checking the work of others.
- Checker
The checker in a drafting group is one of the most senior detailers of a group assigned to review and approve or correct the work of others. He/she uses the project purchase order, customer drawings, design summary and other data to assure the work of the detailer is correct , accurate, complete and within the guidelines of the company. Consideration of each aspect of the project, how they interact and how the details generated affect the performance of product. Customer satisfaction is paramount.

Engineering

- Design Engineer (levels 1-5)
The design engineer is responsible for taking the loads provided and applying them to the structure in compliance with the applicable building code specifications. Through this application of load, he/she develops the stress-strain and deflection envelopes of the structure to determine the minimum member sizes required to safely resist the applied loads utilizing AISC, AISI and AWS design guidelines. In addition to the actual stress calculations, a proper design requires the engineer to consider ease of detail, fabrication and erection in the course of design, as well as the intended use of the structure by the end use customer.
- Estimating Engineer
An estimating engineer must have metal building design experience. This role will help calculate and clearly communicate to the estimating team exactly what we should be quoting to our customer.
- Engineering Manager
The engineering manager has several years experience in metal building systems design and has demonstrated a thorough understanding of building codes and design procedures. This position is responsible for managing a staff of professional engineers as well as engineers in training. The engineering manager assesses the production schedule and assigns the necessary design resources to satisfy the schedule. The engineering manager also evaluates the design staff and provides training as required. The design procedures and standard of care are continuously monitored and any adjustments or training provided to maintain the quality expected of a world class professional design department.
- Project Manager
The project manager represents the communications hub of a metal building order. This position requires in depth knowledge of the many facets of the overall project. The project manager solicits information from the customer via request for information (RFI) needed by the engineer and the detailer to perform their function. The project manager also manages change orders, price variations and coordinates scheduling needs. The successful PM is the customer’s advocate to the company and the company’s advocate to the customer. Primary focus of a PM is to drive the project to successful completion while assuring customer satisfaction with product received.

Customer Service
- CS Representative
This position is responsible for post shipment customer inquiries regarding on-site project discrepancies. These can encompass material shortages, fabrication errors, material defects and general construction drawings and technical support. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, an ability to multitask and prioritize as well as the ability to read construction drawings.
- CS Representative/Field
This position has the same responsibilities as a CS Rep as well as job site visits on an as needed basis. Travel is a requirement of this position. General metal building assembly knowledge is a must.

Production/Manufacturing
- Shipping/receiving
These positions range from loaders to traffic coordinators and foremen. They require varying degrees of experience/education.
- Maintenance
These technicians must be able to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. A good working knowledge of at least two of these disciplines is a must.
- Quality Control
These positions include general inspectors and QC Managers.
- Fitters & Welders
These positions require the ability to read and interpret drawings. They have AWS certification or comparable experience.
- General Laborers
This can include material handlers, packaging helpers, sheet metal workers and machine operators.
- Procurement
These positions can range from Purchasing Coordinator to Purchasing Manager. Purchasing experience is a plus for the coordinator and steel purchasing experience is a must for the Manager.

- Network
This core group supports and maintains all NCI’s IT systems encompassing 75 sites, 5,000+ users, with 3,300+ desktops across the US, Canada and Mexico. IT Operations team members have a solid technology base and are highly skilled and experienced in a multitude of enterprise class IT systems. Specialized IT Operations positions are:
~ Server Administrators – Well versed in all aspects of server administration – Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft (Server, SQL, IIS),Citrix, backups, replication, Server hardware HP-(Proliant, BladeCenter, SANs)
~Network Administrators – Highly specialized in Cisco LAN/WAN environment running on an MPLS network for over 75 sites
~Exchange Administrators – Highly specialized in Microsoft Exchange and enterprise class email environments
~UNIX Administrators – Well versed in all aspects of UNIX administration – UNIX (SUN Solaris, Red Hat, Oracle Unbreakable Linux), backups, replication, UNIX hardware-SUN equipment, HP- (Proliant, BladeCenter, SANs)
~Site Systems Administrators - Extensive knowledge and operational experience with computer hardware, software (including all MS Office Professional applications), LAN networking, Windows XP, PC configuration, security, and printers
- Project Management
The Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for tactical and strategic IT and business-sponsored projects ranging in budget from $100,000 to over $10 million. The PMO team members have a diverse background based in technology, financial operations and manufacturing with solid education and certification backgrounds including MBA advanced degrees and PMP project management certifications.
The core team members that make up the PMO are as follows:
~Project Manager & Senior Project Manager – These positions are dynamic roles that require highly motivated and experienced individuals to work across a variety of disciplines within the company. The successful Project Manager is capable of leading projects as the key driver, with the business sponsor and can function as a Business Analyst to ensure the success of a project. Projects may include various disciplines including e-Commerce, Oracle Applications, custom software development and Microsoft SharePoint applications.
~Business Analyst - The Business Analyst is a key role that works in conjunction with the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager to deliver successful projects. The successful Business Analyst has a wide-ranging background either in technology or business applications and possesses the ability to facilitate, communicate and formulate solutions within the business community. As a major contributor to multiple projects simultaneously, the Business Analyst is viewed as a key element in producing deliverables and helping to meet tight deadlines across many projects.
~Oracle Applications Analyst - The Oracle Applications Analyst roles within the PMO encompass both the Oracle Manufacturing and Oracle Financials applications. These positions require skilled individuals that have specialty experience within the many diverse application areas that make up Oracle Applications. Both mid-level and senior level positions exist on the team, and the goal of each team member is to support the various divisions within NCI and provide ongoing implementation skills across the enterprise.
- Helpdesk
These positions require strong technical aptitude as well as great customer service skills. You will need to be familiar with Office, Citrix, Oracle, as well as hardware and software support, including wireless devices. Helpdesk procurement positions include ordering hardware, software licenses, servers routers & wireless devices.
