It is a privilege to serve as the Chairman, CEO and President of such a remarkable company.  Since its inception in 1984, NCI has become the largest integrated manufacturer and marketer of metal coil coating, metal components and metal building systems in North America. And, it is through the direction of our accomplished leaders and the resolve of the men and women that work for NCI that we will remain in this prestigious position.
As we move forward and prepare for the market shifts that are inevitable, we will not forsake the vision of the leaders who came before us, but will build upon and enhance it, adapting to the current needs of the customers we serve and the communities in which we live. We recognize that it is the pride in our work and dedication to our customers that has allowed us to not only persevere but to prosper. It is through the skillful management of our finances that we have been afforded the rewards of a developing marketplace. But more importantly, it is through our financial diligence that we were able to endure challenging market conditions evident in the past.

We are a prodigious and aggressive company, one that has nurtured a strong, long-term record of profitable growth. We will continue to look for new opportunities to cultivate our existing business. Our purchasing power allows us to define profitable margins and further develop our supply chain. Our position of leadership not only provides greater opportunities in research and development but demands that we continue to examine new techniques and products that enable our customers to be successful.

As we have explored prospects for the future, it is evident that one of our greatest opportunities lies with the green movement. Responsible business and home owners are looking for ways to garner energy savings, protect the environment and enhance living conditions. This is an important issue to us as well. Not only has NCI committed to the betterment of our own work environments in order to reap the economical and health benefits, but we are further developing our own product offerings to better meet the public demands. Our steel products are comprised of recycled material and continue to be 100 percent recyclable. Recently, we converted our suite of paint colors to meet cool roofing standards for reflectivity and emissivity established by ENERGY STAR, the U.S. Green Building Council and other leading environmental groups. Some of our other innovative green offerings include our insulated panels, which reduce energy consumption, and our Soundwall™ system, which mitigates noise pollution along interstate and other highway systems.

Furthermore, we will continue to prospect and acquire businesses that enhance our strategic initiatives as a corporation and support our integrated business model. Our most recent additions broaden our reach throughout the United States, allowing us to gain market share as well as extend our beneficial hub-and-spoke system.

Today, NCI embodies the spirit of the people that built this impressive company. The same foundation endures, one that includes a talented workforce, loyal customers and a determined leadership. We will continue to plan for our future without losing sight of current business conditions. We will be aggressive but won’t take unnecessary risks. We will be leaders but won’t sacrifice profits in order to gain share.
